Isothermal titration calorimetry is used to measure enthalpy, entropy of any reaction. If we can use the same principle in which the cancer cells will be grown in the test chamber and water in reference chamber. We will add glucose in fixed interval of time and measure the parameters. Similarly normal cell will be grown. The difference of parameters between cancer cells and normal cells will be calculated to establish a thermodynamic model of cancer.
Isothermal calorimetry (not titration calorimetry) has been employed to study growth and metabolism of cells, and the effect of natural metabolites or drugs on these processes.
Isothermal calorimetry measures thermal power generated by a sample as a function of time at constant temperature, which in that case will reflect the thermal energy (power) balance in cell growth and metabolism.
Heat (enthalpy) of growth can be measured using isothermal calorimetry (heat conduction calorimeter, for example a Calvet microcalorimeter) as told by Adrian Velazquez-Campoy. The measurements will be perturbed if you add something during the measurements (period of re-equilibration, heat of mixing...). Apparently, what you wish to measure is linked to the kinetics of cancer cells growth. So, there is no entropy associated. For a fast reaction, titration calorimetry may provide enthalpy and equilibrium constant, from which Gibbs energy and therefore the entropy can be calculated. This not relevant to a kinetic of cell growth.
