I am facing some issue with preparation of DPPG supported monolayer and bilayers using Langmuir Blodgett technique. They are not getting transferred efficiently as opposed to PC lipids.
We also monitored the DPPG monolayers at air water interface using confocal microscope and observed that a homogeneous films is not formed. Can you provide your inputs on this? Right now, I am using DI water in the sub-phase. Should I add any salt?

Salt (>100 mmol/l) would probably help. Especially if your material, like e.g. glass, carries a negative surface charge. A DPPG monolayer is a highly anionic surface. Anionic lipids in deionized or low salt systems tend to behave badly, though there is more extensive literature for DMPG.
