It is very difficult to get Fungal Extract from many fungal cultures. I need to know whether any other methods to perform Antimicrobial microbial activity without extracting fungal extract. we can perform directly with culture by streaking on PDa plates and inoculating pathogenic strains.can any one refer some good articles regarding this

u can also try spore inhibition assay in micro titre plate using different dilutions and can calculate the MIC as well
there is a screening antimicrobial method (agar plot diffusion method)
You can grow the fungi over a thin plastic over the media in petri dishes and after the completely growth of it you remove it and test the substances in media.

You can make a lawn of fungal or bacterial strain of your interest in pda or lb. Take an aliquot (10uL, most concentrated sample) of your samples and do spot inhibition by dispensing that in the lawn you made( without putting disk). That will some how let you know if there is any activity. Afterwards, you can do MIC or other stuffs as it requires. I don't know any papers right on top of my head but if found, will share with you.

I highly recommend you CLSI M38-A method as Hayder says. I have used this method on Penicillium sp with reliable results. This method allows you to assay different concentrations at the same time by ussing microplates. To read results, you can choose either the visual lecture or the spectrophotometrical one (or both).
