We are going to use Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and I read that 35S is a strong promoter used in plants, but I don t know is there is a possibility to use in Sc (bacause my professor said that, I don´t know why) =/
your professor is right, 35S works in a broad variety of species and also in yeast (20 year old knowledge). Have a look on the added a publication and please see also: Mol Gen Genet (1992) 235:365 372. Try the addgene database or NCBI to find some vector that fits your needs best. HTH, Robert
