I am working with a software (Material´s Studio) to recognize the form of silver nanoparticles, but I would like to know theoretically by the results of the optical properties of the software if the nanoparticles are photoluminescents.
Does anybody have an idea of the optical properties in a crystal for photoluminescence?
One way, the shape of the crystals lead to crystal lattices, each crystal lattice is inserted into a space group. The space groups are divided into specific groups who also call symmetry sites that leads to photoluminescence. The problem in the silver nanoparticles can be quantum confinement or effect plasmon, in this way there may be mixtures of sites of symmetry. Difficult to analyze.
If I understand your question correctly, then it is a physical manifestation of optical properties of silver nanoparticles, including their photoluminescence.
