Noman Iqbal , if the geometry is not complex , it is easy to go with Comsol else get the surface model from sketch and import into comsol as Imran Shah said,.
Thanks Saeed Mohammad Bagheri , in Creo you can create the 2D geometry in sketch or part mode. In sketch mode you can not extract in Dxf format, and from part mode it can not be imported in 2D geometry of the COMSOL. I have tried several times. Have any other thoughts?
Thanks again Saeed, making the part file with extrusion and then 2D drafting it in dxf format, one can upload that to the Comsol. But this way the units mess up a little. It converts 1:1 from dxf (actual units of the page like mm or inches to comsol). Anyway this can be fixed with some scaling if one has very small units of length like micron etc.
But again this becomes quite length way to change/ produce geometry, I can't even use the livelink to do the parametric study using this method. I need some easy or automated way to change the geometry and do the simulations.
René Christensen ~ My geometry is quite complex so I can't remake it in COMSOL.
Aly Abdou ~ Sorry I cant convert the geometry in .txt file.
Imran Shah ~ Geometry is quite complex to redraw in COMSOL. Also, it has quite a lot of common boundaries, which usually disappear if u import through 3D geometry in COMSOL.
