Our study demonstrates a high expression of ABCB2 gene in breast tumor cells. However, it is known that this gene is involved in antigen presentation. Could protein of this gene participates in drug transport like other ABC transporters (ABCB1, ABCC1 etc.)?

P.S. Breast tumor cells were received by laser microdissection. Expression was estimated by quantitative real-time PCR with TaqMan relative to b-actin.
