We know that extracellular vesicles and protein bound RNA is stable in the circulation. Can anyone recommend why cell-free DNA doesn't degrade in the circulation?
It is degraded. cfDNA is typically very fragmented and shorter than genomic DNA. The reason why it isn't MORE degraded is that blood isn't that intolerable for nucleic acids.
