I am working in the area of oxidative stability of biodiesel. I am using anti oxidants BHT, BHA, t-BHQ, and PG to improve the stability of biodiesel.
When pyrogallol is mixed with biodiesel a black deposit in forming in the fuel after some time.
What may be he reason ? how can I avoid this ? what are these deposits ?
Concentration of PG: 1000ppm
Mixing method: 1) direct mixing 2) using ethanol as intermediate solvent

have you checked all the properties

Well, generally this kind of problem takes place when incomplete conversion takes place. But it should not appear when everything is ok with it and other antioxidants are not creating any problem. Honestly, now, I cannot help you. To help have to be with at the lab. I have not used pyrogallol yet. Have you checked the result of mixing of pyrogallol with other biodiesels?
