To isolate DNA from Trizol method you have to use 0.1 M trisodium citrate.

See SIGMA TRI Reagent, cat no T9424, technical bulletin, which I used.

0.8 M sodium citrate / 1.2 M NaCl

isopropanol (2-propanol)

chloroform

75% EtOH in DEPC H2O

RNase free water (filtered or DEPC)

Will work as Trizol Reagents. Try it.

Basically any of the listed sodium citrate types can be used but the amount to be used will differ depending on the type you use. The Amounts in standard protocols are based on Trisodium citrate. Good luck.
