I am currently using a map downloaded from https://gadm.org/maps/DEU/bayern.html and I would like to assign the value of a variable to each cell with R. I was also trying to get this information from worldclim elevation maps.
Does anyone know if the position of the coordinates from the GADM / worldclim maps are the center of the cell or a corner (which one)? Thank you!

- Regarding your questions about the position of the coordinates, that usually depend on the file format, e.g. geo-tiff.
