You can choose from the Elsevier catalog. Majority of the journals are free to publish. Although, I am not sure about your research scope but you can check "Mechanics of Materials" at Elsevier.
Most good journals, which are not open source is free to publish. Some good quality journals are open source. I am not from this field exactly, cant suggest particular journal. But SCIMAGO journal rank by subject is a good source of checking good medium low quality journals (Q1-Q3 category respectively). Journals outside of this list, better not publish.. The link to the database- https://www.scimagojr.com/journalrank.php
I don't know what field and material you have been working on recently? But I guess these journals such as [CBM, IJIE, THIN-WALLED STRUCTURES, COMPOSITE STRUCTURES, Composites Part B, IJMS, Acta Mechanica Sinica , Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica, even JMPS. OA: Materials] could be suitable for you.
I have extracted and compiled necessary information about all academic journals in excel format here. It also mentions which journals are free (subscription available) or paid open access:
Now a day free journal concept is almost gone. One have to pay against publication in good journal and publication charge demanded are high. You can get plenty of good journals (impact journals numbers of viewers are more) which published valuable research output related the Solid Mechanics and Solid work Analysis.
