Breast samples I get for an IHC study are mostly autolyzed. I choose well preserved sections carefully, but when I get unusual result, can't decide whether it's a finding or artefact.
e.g. expression of epithelial markers (E cadherin) in cytoplasm
Dear Lakshika. Authorized tissue samples can not be interpreted by histological procedures, and not suitable for immunohistochemistry. Tissue preservation is required for histological analysis to allow for visual identification of tissue cellular structures. Sorry it would be a waste of time to continue trying and results will not be acceptable by a reputable journal. Get back to the source to see if you can get better samples. Recommend reading about basic procedures for tissue fixation and pathology evaluation. Best
