We all need some rest and serenity, between our stressful daily tasks.
Some will go fishing, others would watch television, go out with family, others prefer sleeping...
I sleep a lot, but while awake, I need to interval my tireless working hours with serene mental activities, such as drawing, reading, music, practicing Yoga... (I choose activities that help me think things over with serenity. But I notice that I tend to analyse music, with critical concern, and my mind won't stop ...)
I have found that coming to RG, and sharing thoughts with you all has slowly become a healthy habit to reduce the stress from my working activities.
In my country, it wouldn't be safe nor socially acceptable for a woman to enter a pub and start chatting with unknown people But I feel safe and acceptable here...
What's your opinion?
...
“It's a good idea always to do something relaxing prior to making an important decision in your life.” (Paulo Coelho, as quoted by Eraldo Banovac)
Dear Dr.Maria, Dear All, I think that relaxation from work ought to combine a variety of changing activities as Dr. Maria does but I may also add that walking is one of the best sports because many scholars are nearly addicted to driving a car. In most of my life, I walked a lot & at present, I walk at least 3 kilometers/day. I may also add that gardening is good for relaxation especially when buds & flowers appear and when some of these are turned into fruits or vegetables. I think very high about RG & I think this site is offering unique global constructive opportunities for scholars. I hope that this will be noticed by Noble Prize Committee very soon.

Maria,
If you went to a dangerous place you would rest just as much. You would take so long to detect the real danger because you are full of love and you are not tuned to this ugly world we live in. It is not in Portugal only that it is not safe to go around strangers and specially if they are consuming drug, legally or illegally. The best place to be is where we have the chance to love others more than ourselves. When we do that we find the BEST mirror there is. When we see our image reflecting on the eyes of those in need is when we are able to see how beautiful we really are. The mirror on the wall creates illusions. Tells us we are fat, too skinny, old, too young, etc. It tells what we feel about us, not our true image.
Thank you, dear Nizar.
You are absolutely right about Walking. It is, so far , the berst physical activity and also the strongest pure harmless medication for the heart and circulation. My father had a severe heart stroke and by-pass operation, some 30 years ago. The doctors told us that he wouldn't have more than 10 years to live... He walks daily, for one hour, since he came out of hospital. one hour daily walk for 30 years has kept him going til 86 , now.
Dear Vilemar !
I cannot promise not to talk /or touch strangers... because that's an integrating part of my profession.
I have somehow learnt how to defend from strangers.
I'll keep your advice to keep my World a beasutiful pure one, as I see it, as a mirror for my mind !
Behind the river! I do like taking photos there! It relaxes so much!
People who move stones from one side to another need a different place to be, but we who take care of people or living beings have our lives to some extent confused with our work. We usually do not get stressed, we get frustrated. Unless when the source of discomfort comes from people we depend on to do our part. So, the place to relax is where we find a warm embrace.
Dear Maria, I love your question. I have been a collector since I was very young. So, my world for relaxation is attending my hobbies in first place and socializing comes next. I sold my car years back so I move a lot sunny or rainy weather on foot and using taxis. I always carry a counter to make sure I walk every day a minimum of 3500 steps or about 2 km while in the office. So, I make my self move around and going up and down stairs to achieve my objectives every day.
I am relaxing by walking next to the river and taking photos! I do enjoy!
That is beautiful, dear Ljubomir !
Water should be an integrating part of our lives. (I cannot live without water around me) It purifies and serenes our souls, and as your pictures depict, it brings and transmits the necessary spirit for love and respect for other human being. The notion of beauty and peace reflected in the continuous motion of water is food for the human soul.
But I tend to prefer the constant reassuring strenght brought by the ocean waves, that have accompanied my eyesight and soul, since birth.
Water is indeed fundamental !
Walking is a wonderful exercise. It effect our body and mind as a few other activities. And the body starts working better, stress will tend to fade away. Doing so we go much further, literally speaking.
Dear Maria, I like your enticing question. Your choices are wise! And your habits are even wiser! In my country too, it wouldn't be socially, culturally and morally acceptable for any woman to go to a pub and chat with strangers! But I find RG a good option!
Dear Marwan !!!
I was just carefully listening to your marvelous King Abdullah's beautiful speach to the European Parlement ! (I never take the tv from the news channel, that keeps me company, while writing on the computer)
I was (again) impressed by your Kings peaceful and wise approach to foreign affairs, as he shared his definition of true, peaceful Islamic ways. (Beautiful, touching and impressive speach! ) I had already felt and apreciated this peaceful scent of serene security, when I visiting your Country last year, and also from your own words and dear Kamal's interesting comments and views of the World.
Thank you, for sharing your peaceful wisdom.
(Yes, I promise not to visit pubs nor talk to strangers !!!)
Unbeatable the walk with our dog Kalle through the nearby countryside, fields and forests. Whether sun whether rain, pure nature around us guarantees the ultimate relaxation.
Dear Maria
We all get frustrated with tiring work at office and sometimes with the same routine. It is good to share your thoughts here it leads to useful discussions. But I have an advise don,t get too addicted to cyber world as it will take you away from people. Try to mingle with friends and share your thoughts and laugh a lot. All the best
Here is my short attempt. Talking with my wife, reading, viewing my photos from Africa, North America, Island, Egypt and other places where I have been. And if I really need it I go down into my small fitness room and start to bike, row, running on my treadmill or use my sauna. And after that I´m relaxed and start cooking.
Sorry I forgot a very important technique: Joking, humour and laughing.
PS: Dear Guenter, admirable dog! Who is the boss?
Have a look on the following photos from northern germany last year. You see what permanent wind can perform with trees and you see how phantastic the watching of night or sunsets can be for the soul.
Dear Maria, Please amend your note given above Certainly you may not go to pubs but don't stop talking to strangers at-least on RG otherwise many like me may miss such a kind heart friend. Yes I too sleep a lot when take off after completing big assignments and relaxed with RG friends. I also walk a lot as a part of my job, roaming in forest and just evaluating ongoing experiments. Prefer walk instead of jeep. Thanks n Regards
Dear Maria
In fact, stress is the evil that gnaws our modern society. The pressure of work, responsibility of the family and the Uniform quotienne life that connects us people who are malicious, which thus become another source of stress. In my case I go to externalize myself completely from the city to join the wooded mountains. I will not deny I prefer to be alone without any presence even family to allow me to return to my animal instinct to scream even lament. Once I start serving hike through the trails. Indéscritible the pleasure I feel after this trip in the mountains resource me to undertake everyday life. I love nature and I often talk only in those unsuspected paradise that brings me more than human.
Best regards
FADEL
Safety is in the mind, which ever suits a person, can be followed as long as it doesnt inflict upon others freedom. I have been in 7 countries, though India is opening up a lot, it is still a closed country within its cultural bounds.
I see television, listen to music, occasionally to movies.... I am a workaholic.... so whatever small luxury i get, i enjoy it....
Dear Maria
Those are the places where my body regains his soul and therefore I find my fulfillment. Just look with his heart and not judge people with his eyes still the way to the anti-stress.
Regards
Dear Maria, dear Hanno,
Hanno Krieger asks me in his Post Scriptum (above) concerning our dog Kalle:
'Who's the Boss?' The answer is: In our family, there are no bosses. All family members are equal beings. But Kalle is pretty much in the center. That always feels good.
Best regards,
Guenter
Dear Maria,
Strenuous work or thoughts may well constitute a researcher´s main reason for being. In that case, the optimal relaxation method would contribute to resuming difficult work or thinking with renewed vigor. In finding the best way to relax, the individual thinker (or worker) must ask himself or herself, "What leisurely activity equips me and motivates me to resume work with fresh energies?" If the work is not pressing, then physical activity requiring at least an hour of time may be the best answer. But if the work is so urgent that it deprives the researcher of time, intellectual or aesthetic pursuits requiring fewer intervals may accomplish the renewal sought.
Your question is a relaxation too Maria. Judging from the prompt replies it seems RG is the place to relax, a necessity for arduous mental work.
I find walking very relaxing, but I would like to add a swim in the sea, or if you are far away from it, a spa, an established one (picture from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan) or just put table salt, Epsom salts in the bath for whole body, or just feet; I find that to be relaxing and beneficial too.
This spa has water at 42 degrees and part of it is outside with temperatures dipping well well below zero in the winter.
Dear Maria,
Based on what we have and who we are (type personality, family environment, social or regional), we choose those things that make us better and keep us close, without exaggerations. At different times can be different choices. The additional activities for our the professional occupations, strengthen and grow us as individuals. These will be very useful after retirement. Concerns about health helps us to have a life with fewer problems and how much long is possible. We love nature and people and these will return to us. We love the dust, because is our home. The love which is given by God, go further.
Dear Maria,
Dear All,
To find relaxation in the sometimes boring or bureaucratic working conditions and the often one sided demands we the simple soldiers of science need to change environment, circumstances and to forget for a while about monotone bore(?) or too high tension. Our defensive reactions are specific depending of our desires, cultural backgrounds, opportunities and psychological type.
I used to relax reading Belles letters, listening classical and folk music, running in a park on lawn but mainly painting aquarelles.
Oh, boy !!!
Thank you . Thank you all ! You are wonderful people.
We are in fact, much the same kind of different people from all over the world.
Zaheen's beautiful boy did call me here. Thank you. You are blessed!
And now... dear András' fabulous aquarells! They are alive. And they touch me/us !
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, dear Eraldo, for another beautiful quote, that I ask permission to add, on the question box!
Thank you Michael, for sharing your sauna spa!
Thank you Günter for sharing your beautiful dog!
Thank you, dear Fadel, for sharing your beautiful views.
Hanno's landscapes are as beautifuk and touching as his comments! Thank you. (somehow, deep down, I knew you were a great gourmet magician !!!)
Dear Nelson is absolutely right in his analysis.
And «... if the work is so urgent that it deprives the researcher of time, intellectual or aesthetic pursuits requiring fewer intervals may accomplish the renewal sought»
Quite right! (the only problem would be sudden «writer's block» that will call for my leisure, just before the deadline to deliver some work (as today)...
I'll leave you with two beautiful bugs, for András collection ! (they both look a bit like me, don't they ??? - I'm proud to have a clone for a niece -)
Not only in appearance. She's nonstop ! Nonstop motion, nonstop enquiry, curiosity and loud intelligence.. (My baby nephews stay often - too long - with me. While my brother decides some of the worse problems in his life)
I love babies. I love spoiling them, They are indeed the best hobby one could get for leisure times. I had to go through the latin names and classification of clouds, for them. (I had already taught the names of the carpal bones, and most of the star galaxies. ..) They made me study classic subjects over again. Great fun.
For me, music is the best thing to get rid of our over work load and stresses. I also love to watch movies. These are the two things really help me to relax and and stay calm..
Yes. Agree ! Music and water are strong purifiers of the soul.
Dear María,
In my case, after a morning of intense work activity (cardiac clinic), I'll walk a half hour, then break with a coffee in the center of my city, watching the people go by, and try to weave stories in that may be involved (or not), indulging my imagination, where sometimes arises, a topic on which to write.
My activity every afternoon is exclusively intellectual, which holds me the biggest state of relaxation that can be achieved, even when busy writing some of my books, where I have to invest much time and study to make them. All this activity accompanied her, always, with good music, because predisposes me be clear about my ideas.
On weekends and in family, they often engaged me to manual tasks (drawing, crafts), but what really relaxes me is the carving in wood or marble, especially ancient Egyptian themes; people I admire, for its history, for his ideas regarding earthly life and in the hereafter, and the wonderful conception they had about the spiritual in man.
These are some of the things I do to relax.
I like swimming to relax
But at night, before falling asleep I spend at least half an hour on Research Gate...to share research and thoughts...
All the best
Stefania
Dear Dr. Nizar,
We share same walking passion.
Apart from walking I find that body massages are a great way to relax, swimming too, music ...
Dear Dr Maria
Thank you for your nice questions
1- for me there is no specific way , sometimes playing with my little sister ,communication with others by RG , facebook or other way , listen to music looking to sky at night , and we as muslims "in jordan" spiritual aspects make us relaxed as praying and listen to quran.
so it differ with different times.
2- I think we should be relaxed as much as possible when making important decisions
This is a good question. And already many good answers have been given.
Apart from walking (or any form of exercise, including squeezing hand grips) as a great way to relax, I find RG itself as a wonderful way to relax. The hourly give-and-take on RG is both astonishing and exhilarating. For a scholar, RG provides a perfect way to unwind.
Exercise like walking, gardening is a good physical way to relax.but for mind listening good, soft instrumental music, reading good literature, holy spiritual books relax and heals oneself. for the soul meditation good to relax the mind and soul.the good thing which gives peace to your soul is gives serenity to oneself.listening the sound of sea waves is scientifically proven for giving relaation. i feel if we go close to nature it relaxes. universe is abundant in all these things one should go close to it. even loving to kids relaxes. nice question maria.love you.
Its a good and basic question for a researcher... May be My answer would be the different and some people find it not good but the truth is truth... For the rest and feel good to yourself you have to thank your creator, There are a lot of ways in every religion... For example in Islam the muslims says prayer five times a day : first 5.30 am, second 1.30 pm, 3rd 4.30 pm, 4rth 6.00 pm and 5th on 7.30 pm.. before prayer they wash their hands, face legs(called wazoo)...... If you investigate in that way you have to found that:
(1) five times you bath, (five times you drop water on your body which turned you fresh)
(2) Prayer is like Yoga.. because various positions one should alter..
(3) when you go to Sajida, All electromagnetic radiations go to the earth (because you the whole day you have to operate computers, mobile so our body absorbs e.m radiations) so our mind get fresh...
Doing Good deeds you can refresh yourself... Good deeds are alot.. like in RG you can guide some beginner it is a good deed which can refresh yourself..
If any of my friend think that i am muslim thats why i said...then you can search on it what i have said.. the positions of prayer are as attached.
Whenever I feel tired or stressed during office hours I sleep in my office. At home I do the same in the living room. A short nap re-charges well . Normally for about 20 minutes after lunch, almost every day. But occasionally even for one hour. Keep the room bolted. I also surf net, especially Facebook, which I love. Facebook helps me to connect with a large number of friends. It is such a great stress buster, and an amazing source of learning as well. But I do have a check on my tendency to do it excessively.
Dear Maria,
To relax from stress during the day I play a lot of practical jokes on people. It may sound childish but it works well and laughing is always the best stress relief I know of.
Another way I find very relaxing is getting to know others in my building. I will talk with the cleaning people, yard and building maintenance, or I go to the duck pond on campus to feed the ducks and chat about nothing with others.
On Tuesday afternoons I play golf. If the day is filled with meetings I will run (drive) to the driving range and hit the golf ball as hard as I can to expel the negative energy I have accumulated in those boorish must attend....!
Last, if all else fails a good pub, rock and roll music and a pint never fail to peel the wrappings of stress before going home to my girlfriend.
@ Maria, I would suggest that if you did stop at a pub (or any other gathering place) you would be welcomed by many and the unknown would become known thereby dropping the social stigma in a matter of moments and the feeling of safety would follow.
Best regards,
Douglas
Dear Maria
I dont know what exactly the best way to relax after work but I like to excercise(walking and soccer), listen to english story and music and watching TV after work. Specially watching TV relax me
Dear @Maria, we do speak about stress indeed! One of the best way to stress relief are four ways for coping with stress: avoid, alter, accept and adapt! 4A!
I do practice gardening, as suggested by @Rajshree!
http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/stress-management/in-depth/stress-relief/art-20044476
Thank you ! That is B E A U T I FU L , as usual, dear Ljubomir. I do that too.
But I wouldn't Avoid stress, that is part of life. The «fight and flight» reaction is useful, and so is Epinephrine, and the Adrenergic reaction, is natural to Spring.
I'll try this, to accept and adapt !

RG.........
being with nature. Music.
A state of surrender / meditate.
Giving time to self. away/detached for some time with daily life.
According to my experience it is of utmost importance to relax from strenuous work or thoughts, otherwise burn-out is looming.
The problem many people experience is, that it is getting more and more difficult to stop pondering for a while about nagging problems and to relax. Therefore, it is important to do something relaxing that attracts your mind and helps you to refocus.
This can be for example sports, (serious) gaming or social work.
My favourite sports that best help me relax are golf, sailing, badminton and dancing. Especially performing these sports in a competitive way is ideal to forget about work and stress
These examples show why and how focusing on something different is the best way to forget for a while about your stressors. That you get fresh air into your brain - not only a higher portion of oxygen while letting your heart work just a little bit more and letting your blood flow just a little bit faster - that you can even get new perspectives, new motivation and a sense of achievement.
This " requirement" to relax must come early in life. I have noticed this grandson of mine who is only just over a year old goes and sits at the corners of any room, leans back against the wall and feels happy, then just glances at a book or just sits there. I tell everyone that this would be a safe spot during an earthquake, but this fellow wants to relax, it seems.
I enjoy and relax most the company of my 3 year old son….playing with him relaxes me most…answering his innocent and very original questions gives me a lot of challenge as well as pleasure also…
Personally i have felt doing something with hands (eg. cooking, gardening or even dusting) relaxes sometime....listening music and watching movie is an evergreen way and applicable to almost everyone...
Regarding pubs and all....in my personal opinion I always felt company is more important than place...anyways whatever you do...consider safety always..

Ernst & Young did an internal study of its employees and found that for each additional 10 hours of vacation employees took, their year-end performance ratings from supervisors (on a scale of one to five) improved by 8 percent. Frequent vacationers were also significantly less likely to leave the firm.
A new and growing body of multidisciplinary research shows that strategic renewal — including daytime workouts, short afternoon naps, longer sleep hours, more time away from the office and longer, more frequent vacations — boosts productivity, job performance and, of course, health.

Some work more than others.
I prefer a great rest before performing endhuring tasks, the best Ican...
(I'm Southerner. I need more rest than others!)
Dear Maria,
you don´t need more rest, you want! That´s a special way of life.
glad to get a positive opinion from a Northener «at rest» !
Thank you, dear Hanno! (But I'm working hard, very hard, at the moment. Just came here to rest my eyes and thoughts...) ;)
Dear Maria,
In a wide and noisy city, the coverage of a building ...

Or just the shadow of a tree ...
Best wishes,

How very peaceful and beautiful dear Vanessa!
I took a very funny photo of the noisy trafic road in São Paulo. I'll try to post it here, as the oposite of the peace you show above...
(it's not the perfect snapshot - I got the reflex of the bus curtain on top of the funniest writings, of a bumped van - «presente de Deus» means «present from
@ Maria, when compared with Kolkatta
Managing traffic in Kolkata is a Herculean task says West Bengal transport and sports minister Madan Mitra. What adds to the mess, according to AK Das, chief traffic and transportation engineer, West Bengal transport department, is the preponderance of bus stops on major corridors that slow traffic movement. "Contra flow of trams on some roads also hinders free flow of traffic
http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2013-03-17/news/37787127_1_road-space-traffic-system-traffic-snarls
Thank you for sharing your traffic, dear Krishnan. It looks like a wonderful place to practice the power of meditation !!!
I spend an average of nearly 3 hours per day in the car to move from my suburban coast line to the University in the center of town, and then to drive in circles on the industrial outskirts, to practice Medicine, and back home in the evening... I wrote some of the best chapters of my PhD in traffic jams. I carry notebooks, the laptop, and a small library, apart from music, food drinks and even second shoes and jacketts. I could survive for a day or more inside my car, with no boredom !
Thank you Ali ! (still don´t know how to practice jogging inside the car, but I have learnt some useful airplane gymnastics, that help.
Dear Marcel ! (I haven't room to carry a bird cage in the car. So, I do watch some beautiful rare species of wild migrant birds on the banks of the river Tagus.
Just in case, you wish to test the decibels of birds in my country, here's a good link to the pleasures of bird-watching in Portugal...
http://www.turismodeportugal.pt/Portugu%C3%AAs/turismodeportugal/publicacoes/Documents/Birdwatching%20pt%202012.pdf
Dear Maria: when you wrote “In my country, it wouldn't be safe nor socially acceptable for a woman to enter a pub and start chatting with unknown people”, I suppose that is not valid for all country, and does not depend only of the gender. In Coimbra, for example, I believe that would not be any problem with that (at least several years ago when I was student, where everybody could walk pacifically at night and alone in the streets). In my opinion, it may be more a problem of criminality, than a problem of gender or moral. Sometimes hearing old success songs can be a way for me to relax (I suggest for you for example “Imagine”, "Father and son", “Wild World” or “Let it be”, among many other successes).
of course University surroundings are a good exception for that rule of not entering pubs on one's own. (probably, everywhere in the world) This only comes to prove that Culture is the best weapon to combat many social deviations.
I believe that spreading Culture is the best way to heal the World.

How very beautiful and peaceful, dear Krishnan. Thank you for sharing. :)
Hello doctor
Where is the best place to relax
It is not the noise
A suitable place to rest.
Possible where the ceiling is open
And listening to a song placid and pleasant rest
You are all nice and great reasoners. I love reading you all!
I am fortunate to have such great followers which such valuable comments to my questions.
I'm a richer person, day after day!
Maria, you are expressing all our thoughts as well. The pleasure is mutual.
Dear Maria: I grew up with four sisters older. I agree with Hussin. Intelligence has no gender.
I wouldn't compare mellons and oranges, nor different kinds of inteligence. Men are more practical, more pragmatical, we women are more sensorial. The results produced may differ. They are not comparable. There's a neurologic difference between the growth of both hcerebral hemispheres, probably under hormonal influence.T here are actual physical differences between male and female brains. I should assume that we are different animals... Two different species of Homo Sapiens. (I don't mind the fact that my brothers are far more intelligent that I . I make-do, and I 'm happy with the practioal analytical side of my intelligence. My head is a tiny little round orange. My brothers heads are huge watermellons, and I disapear under their hats.)
That difference is what brings joy to life, as it is.
We invest in better work load and thoughts, and then we need more rest. That's what life is for , dear Sergei ! (otherwise, we 'd be here standing in silence, waiting for our cycle to close in total boredom.... - I get your point, but I don't mind going on at it! - )
May I add another statement dear all and Maria,
often it´s not a problem of best place, it´s the opportunity to switch off your professional brain and soul. And this doing is much harder than just to attempt a short journey, walk to a nice place, this place must be relaxing for the searching person. So we obviously must learn to relax and switch off and not only move from here to there.
PS: I feel why dear Ljubomir loves his fishing. It´s exactly want I wanted to describe.
Yes, Hanno !
And how I wish to be given the oportunity to enjoy my retirement, while I have full health and spirits.... I often wonder why they (States) don't allow us to enjoy partial retirement - pieces, during our working life, in exchange, perhaps of the same amount of work after retirement age, in small quantities but with better knowledge of things.
«They» should be paying us to rest, more than one month per year...
(I'm tired and overworked - that's what this means....)
Dear Maria,
I´m also astonished. But it may be that you can try your own attempt personally and not managed by states. I was first prolonged for one year at the age of 65 (end or regular job time in Germany) for half a job, and later till today on I´m busy with periodic and also with time to time lectures, permanent consulting, am asked for help with my know how. Exactly what you want to do. It´s possible to succeed.
Yes. My Mother is still «at it», as she is 83, and always active in academic terms...
Here , we have compulsive Statal retirement, at 70, but we can go to Private Universities, and keep our conference jobs...
Maybe I complain from overwork, because I do keep three jobs, as an academic (full time teaching), as a medical practitioner (also full time, for a private company), and as a reasearcher. Money is never enough... And at home , I am also fulltime hard worker, cook of the kingdom, cleaning woman, bed maker, gardener, decorator, crazy local artist and early swimmer, and lovable cute family member...
I have so much more to do, and so little time to fulfill the best of my wishes...
(I should have been born seven of us !)
As I think of relaxing, I most certainly won't be able to relax this evening. as my Country is beiing visited by 30 adorable Serbian football players, for a match that proves decisive for the Portuguese team.
I will feel divided, for my great admiration for Ljubomir and his compatriots, but I have to support my National team and their success...
Relaxing hobbies can sometimes become stressful too...
You know Maria, in scouting we learned many years ago that a person should leave this material world in a better condition as compared when it was encountered. I have been applying such an endeavor every minute of my life. And with the so many things we have in mind I do accept gladly the reality of your statement in the closure of your input in your last addition permitting me to add here again: "I have so much more to do, and so little time to fulfill the best of my wishes... "
Quite interesting - perfect stress buster for your sunsign

Thank you, Krishnan !
I just found an explanation to why I am always so restless. I am Aries in Zodiac, and a Spring Rat in Chinese zodiac signs.
«Aries
Stress triggers a strange reaction in people born under the Aries sun sign. They become restless and agitated, and thus the best way to deal with stress would be to engage in some fun sports or perhaps even some strenuous activity like hitting the gym or adventure sports. Venting out your feelings by writing down also helps.»
Nonstop compulsive writer... Thank you, Krishnan. That helped. I thought I had a sort of mental handicap that urges me to write, nonstop, everywhere, at any time of my days, even on my walls and table desk, when I'm out of paper..
(.I thank God for computers and the internet! )
I am not in this photo, as I do enjoy in taking photo of my fishing spot! Wonderful, right! It is fine place and a way to relax!
I heard many years ago that behaviours, or previsions, performed on the basis of zodiac signs are not very consistent. The position of the earth with respect to the star constellations seems that is not fixed and is badly understood. (…) Nevertheless keep going writing dear Maria. I have a similar behavior, when I am explaining some subject or I am researching (I suppose that has merely to do with many years of practice of intensive teaching and research).
Thank you, António....
Thank you Ljubomir !!!
You are totally on that beautiful serene photo.
I believe photografers enter their photographs. And become part of their Art.
If you put several different people in the same scenario and give each a camera, I can garantee that all the photos will come quite different. The same applies to drawing.
You are that beautiful serenity, and I thank you for sharing!
I can feel the fresh clean, pure air.
Thank you for sharing !!!
I think that is relative and everyone has to find the activity that balance and health you for relieving stress, it is a matter of taste, for some even go see a game at the stadium is liberating, but for others maybe listen to music relaxation with an herbal bath is better, the point is that your mind comes into an alpha state and you can being absorbing to let your good vibrations and you can let rest at certain parts of your brain.
I tend to focus my energy on finding patterns to be empathetic with me and my environment, visualizing interaction mechanisms and creating actions that promote love, focusing my attention on positive actions. Is to give you a time to let your mind can process information and then come in with a bang and solve problems with all the conviction.
Nice way to put it Andrei, will you share one such experience?
Thanks
