I am trying to decide what type of florescent protein to use for a plasmid. The mRNA levels are rather strong for this protein and I am building a reporter system to cause a florescent protein to be made whenever the protein is made and then travel to the nucleus. The worry is that the basal level of expression will make an increase to hard to see or the increase may cause to much of an effect. So what I was wondering what is the half-life of mCherry and/or Timer in the nucleus?
