My RC beams experimental ultimate load & deflection was 97kN and 20mm resp. But when I model it in ansys apdl it run continuously up to a load of 140kN and 60mm deflection and still continuous, also it reaches the compressive stress in concrete =40mpa, whereas the comp. stress-strain curve and the fc' values are input as 35mpa only? .
1. First I tried with convergence criteria F=0.05,0.1,0.25, as one set.
2. Second set I tried with U=0.005,0.2
3.third iconsidered both critera with increasing tolerance F=0.1 and U =0.1also.
4. I use LxBxH mesh size =25x25x31.25mm for the beam size of 2000x200x250mm.
5. Why my ansys solution does not match with the experimental values, and gaves a very higher values. What should be the reason for this difficulty.
Kindly suggest your opinion with possible reasons for this.

1. It is difficult to say for sure without getting acquainted with the code on ANSYS.
2. If you are using an elastic model, it is not surprising. Just stop counting when you reach 97 kN breaking load and check the deflection. If it around 20 mm, I congratulate you! If no, let's see the code.
I suggest you to check the input parameters and the model you considered to predict the values, particularly the young's modulus you used and so on. The accuracy of these values often calculated from the experiment is very important for the successful prediction. Also, consider the smallest mesh size as you can.
