These are initially solitary rod like small structures floating in the media, and then they start forming aggregates. Could this be bacillus? How to deal with it.
These look like crystal precipitate in the media, not a biological contaminant. Depends on the media but probably look like some salt or like calcium oxalate crystals
Incubate culture plate with media and no cells. Check for these crystals. Seems like they might be ascorbic acid crystals. Change in pH (due to metabolic activities of cells in culture) may also result in crystal formation. Check pH of your culture (with and without cells), and also check % of CO2 in the incubator.
Thankyou for your suggestions, we check the media before using for cell culture, but they crystals do not form there, and these go on increasing in numbers and are initially solitary but then start forming aggregates, also i have seen them being stuck upon cells and not hampering their growth.
