I saw one diagram of it, it is similar to an MFC. But why it is good at BioH2 production but can't generate Bioelecricity? Is it only because of h2 producing bacteria?
Sorry Jan for replying this late ......... was busy with a project delivery. I did not get about the anode providing driving force for H2 production. What I know, anode is responsible for providing electrons to the circuit after the organics has been oxidized releasing H+. And this H+ gets attracted to the electrons present at the cathode due to presence of oxygen. Are you saying this H+ production is low in case of an MFC??? Then what makes its production high in a MEC?
