I have carried out solid state fermentation of sample and using aspergillus niger citric acid is produced.Now,I want to extract this sample for analysis of LC-MS . So, I want to know in which solvent citric acid can be more soluble?
You may used hot water to remove gallic acid from the medium . Citric acid is heavier than gallic acid . Thier solubility in ethyl acetate can be used for differential extraction.
