Could somebody help me with androgen receptor expression in MDA-MB-231 cells?
I could not find the data about that.
It is mixed - some papers report AR expression in the 231 cells ;

and some do not.

MDA-MB-231 cells are sensitive on our steroidal compounds. These compounds decrease cells proliferation, but do not induce apoptosis or changes in the cell cycle. Any suggestions about reason or mechanism of decreasing cells proliferation?
in our lab, the 231 is AR-negative, yet it responds to DHT at the molecular level. strange!!

There are many research articles about androgen receptors in breast cancer cells, but usually in ER+ breast cancer.
For example:

I can not find exact amount or anything similar for ER-, or triple negative breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231).
