I am trying to overexpress human c-myc and MAX protein on HEK293 cells? I have no problem with c-myc but I detect negligible amount of MAX. When i perform the co-transfection, initial growth of cells are good but after few days, just prior to performing western blot, about 50% of the cells die. I wait for the cells to regrow again and then perform the western blot.
I detect the Max by flag tagged antibody,
I wonder, what is the problem? I would be grateful for any suggestions?
