We have the conditional allele mouse that has been tested with several Cre and CreER mice and it works. However, we can move faster if we just infect Cre directly into the cells but we need high efficiency of infection and efficient Cre activity. Any suggestions?

We use a very standard MSCV Cre IRES GFP retroviruses for these types of experiments. This routinely gives us 40-60% Cre expressing cells 2 days after transduction.
Alternatively, if you don't want continuous expression of Cre, we are using the integration deficient retrovirus (IDRV) described in this paper. That is quite useful to have transient Cre expression.

We have used lentivirus Cre to infect primary endothelial cells (ex vivo) with high efficiency. Primary EC are infected with almost 100% efficiency.
Have not done any work injecting viral cre virus into whole animals. However, we do have an adenvirus cre virus available.
If your cells are proliferating well, standard retrovirus usually works fine unless its ES cells. We get 60-90% efficiency after 2 days. For primary bone -marrow derived mesenchymal cells we also use lenti -the FUCRW backbone lentiviruses which is equally efficient. For Cre delivery in animals, the lung models use Adenovirus-cre. I don't know about that efficiency.
