Hello, As we all know that most of the higher Eukaryotes are having couples of chromosomes so as called as DIPLOIDS, and each gene has an ALLELE also, may be homozygous or heterozygous. When we delete a gene, many times we don't consider about its allele, what is the fate of allele of the gene which is being knocked out. Is it also removed, is inactivated, keep showing its effect or what is the fate of that particular ALLELE..
