Hello Everyone,

I am trying to simulate the shell and tube type Exhaust Gas Re-circulation (EGR) system using ANSYS fluent. I have the temperature data of exhaust gaseous and coolant while entering the EGR system. But i have not any data regarding the velocity of exhaust gaseous and coolant while entering the EGR system. So could you please let me know the tentative velocity of the exhaust gaseous and coolant while entering the system.

One more, if i have mass flow rate of the of the exhaust gases. Do i need to divide the total mass flow rate by the total number of tubes considered while inputting the boundary conditions in terms of velocity? In case of coolant there is only one inlet so no problem with the coolant but in case of exhaust gases the number of tubes is  ~ 20. Since the radius of tube and mass flow rate is known, isn't it appropriate to convert mass flow rate (kg/hr) to velocity (m/s)?
