Growth factors have not consistently demonstrated a positive or negative factor relative to implant survival. Hence not much research activity.
BMP has been relatively consistent as a positive however, NOT EVERY SURFACE will be receptive to BMP and the cost of BMP is such that little research is ongoing with BMP. Of course the benefits occur in the first few weeks and then they diminish.
