Hello everybody,

I have prepared blue evans solutions (0.5, 0.25, 0.1 and 0.01%) in sterile seawater to asses cell viability of seaweed cells. My problem is that the final solution at any concentration has a dark red color (it is supposed to be blue, isn't it?) and do not stain the dead cells with intense blue (as is reported in the literature). Instead, the cells are dyed pink. Any suggestions?
