Hi everyone,

I received a Bifidobacterium lactis in freeze dried form, I revived it in media and I took its growth curv. Also, I did streak plating to have the colonies as back up and put in the fridge. Over holidays I have two option, either keep transfering the suspension into new media untill the time of experiment, or the easier option is that at the time of experiment I take one colony from the backup plate and make bacteria suspension out of it and use it for my experiment. My questions are as following:

1- would it be ok to use the colony for making suspension for the time of experiment instead of keeping transfering the suspension I currently have to new media until the time of experiment arrives?

2, The grwoth curve and corresponding CFU I have got for the suspension I have , would still be applicable for the suspension which I will make from a colony after holiday?

Thank you very very much in advance.
