The following are recommendations for using Collagen, rat tail (HY-NP010) to thinly coat culture plates to promote attachment:

1) Dilute collagen I with 0.02 M acetic acid to prepare a 50 μg/mL working solution. Collagen I is insoluble in neutral pH solutions.

2) Coat the culture dish with 5 µg/cm2. For example, the surface area of ​​a 35 mm culture dish is about 10 cm2, and 1~2 mL of the working solution is enough to cover the dish.

3) Incubate at room temperature for 1 hour.

4) Carefully aspirate the remaining solution and wash with PBS or serum-free medium to remove excess acetic acid.

5) After coating, the tissue culture dish can be used immediately or air-dried and stored under sterile conditions at 2-8℃ for up to one week.

【Note】: The coating concentration is 5-10 µg/cm2, and the recommended concentration is 5 µg/cm2. It is recommended to optimize according to the specific cell culture system.
