23 February 2023 2 10K Report

Hi guys, I am currently analysing my interview data conducted for my dissertation. I am obviously a novice researcher so would appreciate some advice.

I have four interviews conducted and one is sticking out like a sore thumb. Its shorter and less detailed. The participant did not disclose rich experiential data that I can analyse like I have done with the other three. I am doing IPA so need to find themes between participants, and this participant spoke generally about the experience, not about her personal experience.

I know I am at fault here as I should have realised this in the interview and asked her better questions, but it was my first interview.

Can I remove her data? Or do I carry on? I am not sure how to go about analysis when her data is so bland compared to my other three and it just doesn't answer my research question well.

Many thanks, Ruby
