Hello everyone
We currently facing a problem with our SDS PAGE in our lab, as you can see in the attached file the migration at the end is very chaotic
We're using BioRad products for years now, it's always perfect and I analysed these proteins for months but the past 2 weeks, we almost always get gels like this one .. and it's not just me. 2 others co-workers have the same problem, we don't know what's happening because we didn't change a thing in our protocol. We change the power supply, the gel holder, the buffer, the gels, nothing changed. The gels seemed normal before use but during migration the blue charge start to turn yellow and a big bump start to form and spread out in length (but not always as you can see on the 2nd gel). Does anyone encounter a problem like this before ? any tips will be highly appreciated. Have a nice day

Hi Sabrina Merrouche . This has to be a gel preparation problem. Are the gels from the same lot#?
Hi yes they're from the same lot and I contacted BioRad about it, they told me that this lot had not receive any complaints yet
They should at least offer a replacement. Your gels look similar to a gel problem question posted here a couple of months ago.

You may encounter this type of problem when the pH of your dye is not right. It might be possible that your sample alter the pH of dye. You may add a drop of NaOH before loading the sample into the gel.
