Can any one provide the tissue culture protocol for culturing Elaeocarpus ganitrus Roxb. in lab through shoot culture? If so which media should be used and does anyone have paper or book reference for tissue culture propagation of this plant?
Thank you so much mam for the answer. will look those papers and try to implement them in ganitrus species.
I would also like to ask one more thing mam. If i should start plant tissue culture with the objective of fast propagation and mass production then should i start with shoot culture or root culture or other plant biotechnology approaches like callus induction, protoplast or meristem culture.
Stem culture, particularly nodal explants and of course cotyledons and hupocuryle are also ideal. You want to try Elaeocarpus ganitrus,Rudraksh.Good idea. Better you go to Himalyan range where good nurseries sell the seedlings at heavy price dpending on how many faces it has.Good luck
@ Bir bahadur Sir. Thank you sir for this valuable information. I will start looking for proper mother plant/explant and search for the protocols for shoot propagations.
