Hello. I simulate a low concentration PV with interest in ray trajectories and heat transfer. Therefore I am using a multiphysics model with Geometrical Optics module and Heat Transfer in Solids.
My problem lies in combining these two modules. When I run the optics module alone with ray tracing study I get the ray trajectories and the heat flux at the bottom receiver. When I combine it with the Heat Transfer(with Bidirectionally study) to see the temperature distribution I get negative values of temperature and power.
What would you advice me to do?
Dear Vasilis in just ray trajectories study you should choose ray Tracing study, it calculate only time dependent and heat flux only and of course you should disable the heat transfer physics by unchecked the tick
in coupling ray and heat transfer you should use Bidirectionally study, it's using both time dependent and stationary and REMEMBER in boundary condition choose "Boundary Heat Source" it use the ray trajectory heat flux for heat transfer
negative value is cause of Error it could be less with rising the iteration in loop of Bidirectionally study of course if it is very low.

What I am trying to run the simulation for 5 hours so I need to calculate the heat flux every hour and insert this value in the Boundary Heat Source.
Is Bidirectionally study ok to use? since its a stationary study and I need a time-dipendent one. For this I try to use a time dependent study with for-endfor to change the heat flux every time step.
