Hello everyone! I am here to ask a question again. I am going to start making coating for my electrodes and I know that, for this, I need nafion. However, when I search for this product, sellers show me two options, only nafion and nafion resin and I don´t know what it is the correct product for my purpouse. If someone is able to indicate me what is the best option, I will be very gratefull with that person! Thanks a lot in advance!

Why not use a Nafion membrane directly to sandwich between the electrodes, thus designing the membrane electrode assembly MEA. In general, you use the Nafion resin solution to fabricate Nafion membranes or composite Nafion thin films.

Hello Tarek Farhat sorry if I didn´t explain myself very well. I want to make a coating in a SPCE (screen printed carbon electrode) and I read that, for this, I need Nafion to create a coating, so I looked for it but sellers are not clear about what type of nafion is specific for this purpouse. The seller gave me two options: Nafion resin and nafion solution with 15-20% of water.
I imagine that the second option is the best option to make coating, but I wanted to asure that. I hope I have clarified your doubts about my question.

Hi Isabela, I recommend that you purchase Nafion membranes such as Nafion112 from fuel cell vendors such as the Fuel Cell Store, check link:

You can even buy a fuel cell from this store and compare its performance to yours. They do sell fuel cell parts if you want to assemble your MEA.
You can use the Nafion resin to dose your electrodes with it so it has better ionic conductivity. Otherwise, check methods on how to prepare a Nafion membrane from its resin, I cannot remember the method, but it is simple. Hope this helps,
