Has anybody – apart from the information provided in the original and other papers and the information available from DSMZ, Cellosaurus, Cosmic and similar sources – genetically characterized the LAZ-221 cell line in more detail in terms of fusion genes, copy number alterations, mutations, indels,… by RNA-seq, WES, or WGS and would be willing to share this information?

It is simple, you put in premeier your key word "LAZ-221 cell line" in NCBI several results will appear in the experimentation animal or clinical
Then it is necessary to choose in which pathological or therapeutic context "ask your question or problematic" then to download from the databases "FASTA for example" or other using the tool bioinformatics to process and intetpreter the data.
Nice try, but obviously you have not understood the question. If you find RNA-seq, WGS or WES data of this cell line, please post the links to them.

As I wanted see if I could complete the information in the Cellosaurus about this cell line I tried "hunting" everywhere I could but found no trace of any molecular information on this cell line. However I did not try to directly contact JM Boss ([email protected]) the corresponding author of the 2011 paper cited in the Cellosaurus record:

I saw from a recent paper (2016) that his group seems to be using RNA-seq technology but not in the context of human cell lines and not anymore in the leukemia context, but you never know!

PS: The "LAZ" series of cell lines developed by Herbert Lazarus are quite a challenge in term of finding good informations about them: very few papers were writen about their establishment, few are distributed (1 by DSMZ, 3 by Coriell), and most seem to have disappeared!
