i did some IHC staining on brain sections of prion infected hamsters...some slides showing overexpression and some underexpression on nuclear protein Lamin A/C? what does it mean in simple words?
Increased in lamin A/C protein expression in brain show -high-risk cancers and show association of expression with tumor cell formations especially at the invasion fronts of tumors and in invasion 'spearheading' tumor cell clusters.
Not entirely agreed with this suggestion as my animals were prion infected so how come u talking about tumor?
Kindly corelate the outcomes in cellular level in tumour and infections....chromosomal instability....and cell cycle...
so does it mean less lamin AC positive cell is representative of more infection?
There shouldn't be much lamin A in the brain at all since it is downregulated.

I'm not sure it is the right marker you want to use for gauging infection.
