Can somebody please help me finding articles that are associated with longterm usage of FK506 resulting in toxicity? if animal model results of neurodegenerative disorders had toxicity it will be much better article for me as i am working on prion diseases...

As you know FK506 is an immunosuppresant drug and as such is relatively safe and patients take it with relatively mild secondary effects. I suggest you first of all to read the details of the drug, specially the side effects (via any on line vademecum)

Unlike ciclosporin A, FK506 penetrates the blood brain barrier but according to the pharmacokinetics of the compound (rapid metabolization) the concentration should be low in brain (unless it accumulates in the brain, something that is not expected for it). Evidence for brain penetration is in those papers
