Hello, I wanted to ask if anyone here works with an Opentrons pipetting station. I would like to experience isolating mRNA from cells, for which we also have a thermoblock and a magnetic block, but I have not found a suitable kit that would isolate only mRNA. Does anyone have any experience? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance.
Hi Kateřina! I saw your question and thought I might respond as I work at Opentrons. We don't have experience in-house with using kits that extract mRNA only, but we do have experience with total RNA extraction kits. Members of our community have extracted total RNA and then prepared mRNA libraries using Illumina mRNA sample prep. See protocol here: https://protocols.opentrons.com/protocol/7e3b31
