I recently started using lentiviral systems to produce proteins in mammalian cells. Knowing the performance of this impressive system in producing high titers of proteins, I am wondering if it could be used to produce mAb or antibody-like proteins in HEK 293. Technically, it should be possible but I've not seen any literature around this subject matter. Your kind thoughts and references are greatly appreciated.

Antibodies are complex molecules that are constructed of multiple poly-peptide that have to undergo extensive post-translational processing, which makes the production of recombinant antibody very difficult at best. There are works expressing Fv fragments of an antibody or single-chain ABs from Camelids in both cells and bacteria.
To interested researchers, I have found two relevant papers (see links below) that heighten my confidence that the lentiviral antibody production approach is viable. I'm yet to try it out though. However, one may have to optimize the leader sequence and the ratio of heavy-chain to light-chain virions to ensure efficient secretion and assembly, respectively.
