I want to prepare a stock of 0.8% agarose gel for gel electrophoresis and my only possibility to store the (still liquid) stock woud be an incubator set at 37°C.
Does anyone know, if I could store the stock at this temperature without the stock starting to dry up, or are higher temperatures necessary?

Actually I never keep liquid agarose gel in incubator for long time. However, if you want to keep the agarose gel still liquid, I think it will be better if you keep the agarose gel in incubator at 50-55 degree celcius.

Gel formation occurs at temperatures below 35 ° C. The best way to keep it fluid is to use a moist heat. You can use a 60 ° hot water bath. In fact, dry heat is not a good option.

You can keep it for one day, but the golden rule is to always prepare media fresh and inoculate right away or after a max of 24 hours.
