Is there any software that can simulate any type of coronaviruses and their physical properties? Is it possible to perform finite element analysis to study the physical properties of these viruses or any other types of viruses?
Theoretically may be you can simulate your model but I am in doubt that virus behaviour follow the continuum mechanics formulation. Moreover the size of contaminated particle is the second issue. Therefore, using a FE software is not reasonable.
May be a CFD software (discrete mechanics) can trace a virus particle before entering to the human body, but after that you will face with a multi phase area and it brings you to a complicated problem.
At the end I can not understand the goal of this work after obtaining the physical properties. The virus is not structure and its physical properties can not give us a clear way to predict anything.
Hello, I have just completed a review article about the application of CFD on infectious pathogens transmission.
Fluent can Be used to analyze the transmission of viruses in various fluid. Transport equation and particle model such as dem or dpm can be use, however they can not simulate with considering complex characteristics of virus. Epidemic model such as SIR,etc can be added by using udf.
LBM software is useful for it can simulate the complex particles behaviors and u can try it.
Hi, you can simulate it by Ansys-Fluent software, However it is a little difficult to validate it. In Ansys-Fluent, you will be able to define different particles in various size as covid19.
Thanks for your interest in the question. Many researchers have carried out finite element analysis studies on human's organs, tissues, blood vessels, and cells using software like COMSOL and Ansys. By knowing the electrical and physical properties, it is possible to conduct various studies, such as the following:

So, is it possible to the same with viruses? I hope this explains my question. Thanks.
Thanks for your answer. I agree that it will be challenging to do such a task. I usually use FEA for other applications, but did not go down viruses levels.
Marwan Nafea , then, your interest is on how the virus works and invades healthy cells? Because how the virus spread in air is similar to any particle movement, and that can be simply analized by CFD (usually but not always, finite volume method, FVM)
I ask you paying attention to this video in the attaching file. It has been simulated using CFD method. You can simulate it by Lagrangian-eulerian method in Ansys-Fluent. Also Fluent has capable to link in other FEA softwares to do two-way analysis.

I agree by DR.Farokhi . As he mentioned , I think you only can trace the virus particles to investigate .,for example Social distancing, the effect of masking or masks holes and etc.
