Hi everyone.

I'm currently working with several datasets with no replicates to find genes of interest. I have seen in other questions from RG that this issue has been mentioned several times. However, i haven't find any threads in RG addressing this question specifically.

I've already run some tests in galaxy using both tools (edgeR and DESeq2), but without replicates, both tools give no output, but an error message.

I've read somewhere else that with edgeR there is some way to avoid this problem and still obtain "DEGs" without replicates. Still, i´m not sure if it is possible to make those "adjustments" in galaxy.

Is there any way to obtain "DEGs" in galaxy without having replicates? Which parameters should be modified and how?

I was thinking of making copies of each dataset and introduce them as replicates whenever galaxy asks for them just to be able to run the tools, but i'm not sure how it will affect the selection of DEGs with p values obtained from these copies.

Any recommendations?
