In one of our electrochemical experiments, we observed that the peak current suddenly decreased at pH 6 and then again increased at pH 7. Does this relates to the stability of the complex at pH 5 and pH 7?
Studies on the new insights into the effect of pH on the mechanism of ofloxacin electrochemical detection in aqueous solution collectively showed the optimal peak current for the electrochemical detection of OFL was within the pH range of 5 - 7; moreover, that the peak current decreased faster under alkaline than acidic conditions.
