when I add the molecule carrying the amine functional group to the solution consisting the EDC/NHS and the molecule carrying the carboxyl group, it forms a foam structure and it's kind of strange to me, is it normal? I have to say that I leave the solution for a night or sometimes more and then add the amine molecule. ( it was suggested)
No, NHS/EDC usually does not lead to foams. Most likely, one of your other components is responsible for this. You can suppress foams with special silicone additives if needed. BTW, you should not wait a long time until the amine is added. The active NHS ester, which is formed in the reaction, will degrade completely. A usual time for the first step is 15 min.
