It is required to prepare 70% ethanol myself to use this kit.
Is it possible for me to use ready-made 70% ethanol or to use RNase-free water to prepare it from 100% ethanol?
Plus, for the 100% ethanol also required in this protocol, is there RNase-free ethanol available commerically, if yes, is it necessary to use this?
In our department, we use the 100% ethanol as normal absolute for analysis（merckmillipore） . In RNA experiment, we dilute ethanol with nuclease-free water（qiagen.
For my research I used 100% commercial ethanol lab grade, without problems, in my opinion and experience, is a positive cost benefit to dilute ethanol with rnase free water, it would be more expensive to have problems downstream.
In my lab i use double distelled water, after steralize it under UV for 30 mins, and so the results of RNA were very good , also when the kit need absolute ethanole it should be molecular biology grade type of ethanol as results from non molecular biology gradeswas so bad.
