so, basically i had to do an anti-fungal assay using a plant extract which was extracted using methanol. then i dissolved the extract in methanol to bring 200mg/ml working concentration. I made this working concentration by dissolving 200mg of the crude with 1ml methanol. Is it ok to use methanol or is it necessary to change the solvent like DMSO. the fungi i am checking is T.rubrum and M. canis.

It would be of great help if you could also support your statement with a research article. thank you
