I have a ready-to-work protein purification method for a western blot analysis. Here, the dialysis tube method is a very simple method for protein purification. My doubt is whether dialysis protein purified protein is suitable for a western blot analysis
I dont understand the question at all. There are several introductory questions to this topic-
1) What is your starting material- Is it bacterial or cell lysate? or is it a fraction that has already been purified to a certain extent?
2) Do you just need to remove the salt content or other mineral content from your preparation? or do you need to remove other proteins and macromolecules from this preparation?
3)What is the dialysis tube pore size? and what is the molecular weight of your protein?
Above all, dialysis by itself is not an efficient protein purification method. At best, you will be able to exchange the buffer systems based on concentration calculations.
