If you put IC50 of any cell line 15uM TAM in MCF-7 to create resistance, rather than going from the smallest concentration to the highest, is this a resistant cell line?
In one month to three months of time, when it takes almost 6 to 9 months.
yes suppose ic50 is 15uM tam,ok i went to 10uM and then,17uM,and see what is happening to cells,r they able to survive at 15uM tam,yes of course then, check ER receptor.
But it was about the protocol which all lab have followed and published,we generate resistant cell liens starting from low conc to highest and keeping at each conc for about say 5 cycles.
and it takes 6 months to a year to generate resistant cell line, and if someone claims just by taking an ic50 and growing cell in a month, that i got resistant cell line,it can revert back to original or wont be resistant when we send for cell line testing?
