This is easy. If you want good clean bacterial DNA then use Qiagen 69504 – DNAEasy blood and tissue kit . I use the Gram-positive procedure, then I know I will get everything out. The procedure by Dr. Hussein Al-Dahmoshi will certainly extract the DNA but if you want it clean, intact and stable it is better you do further procedures, such as the column based extraction with the Qiagen kit.
Hi all, I am doing the same but from plasma, though i intend to add lysozyme to the plasma and incubate for 30 mins at 37 degres before proceeding with the Qiagen protocol i.e add proteinase k, and the buffers. What do you think about my approach?
