I work with neuronal cells. i split my last flask and left my new flasks up side down. i.e. i flipped them. the cells have attached to the surface ( which was supposed to be the up side of the flask)
the morphology of the cells is not significantly changed.. the soma is there. but i cant see axons or anything. can i still use these cells?
I am sure you should be ok with these cells if you culture them on the right surface next time. Good luck
Ritishka Kapoor - Do not discard them just yet. Try growing them on the correct side in the next go around; or if possible; trypsinize and re-culture them on a flask with smaller dimension immediately, since they are not confluent yet (?) ... once they perpetuate on the smaller flask, split them again .

I agree with Shalini. You need not discard them. They seem to be growing well. Trypsinize and subculture the cells, but this time make sure that you culture them on the proper side of the flask on which they are supposed to be cultured.
