I am trying to analyze dissolved organic matter with protein pak. Usually, it is normally operated at 0.7ml/min and 2.1MPa, but when the column pressure is suddenly operated at 0.7ml/min, it is maintained at 3.8MPa or the pressure continuously changes to 2-3MPa. It has been about 1-2 months since the purchase of the column, and it was stored by filling it with DI and used together with the guard column. And I gave enough stabilization and purge before turning. It was stored by blocking the front and back while connected to the guard column. When the column is removed and operated, the pressure is maintained normally, so it does not seem to be a problem with the instrument. Even if the guard column is removed and operated, the pressure is abnormal and the column itself needs to be replaced?

Question1) The cause of the sudden increase in column pressure

Question2) Is it okay to analyze under high pressure?

Question3) How to lower the pressure

Question4) Should the column be replaced?
